These activities are designed for students in the Syllables and Affixes stage — typically 3rd through 5th grade, though some students may be ready as early as 3rd grade and others may still need this support into middle school. Students entering this stage should have a solid understanding of vowel patterns in single-syllable words and are ready to tackle multisyllabic word work. These resources can also be used in lower grades within small group lessons with teacher guidance.
