WHO ARE THESE GAMES FOR?
These activities are designed for students at the end of the Letter Name-Alphabetic stage who have already been introduced to digraphs, consonant blends, and same and mixed-vowel word families and can often represent short vowels accurately — but may struggle when the support of word families is removed. Because all games and activities across Unit 5 use similar formats, you only have to teach students how to play once — then enjoy the consistency and versatility all year long!
