Friendships in upper elementary come with disagreements, misunderstandings, and moments of peer pressure. These Challenges of Friendship Scenario Cards give 3rd through 6th grade students a safe place to think through realistic friendship dilemmas, role-play different responses, and talk about how empathy, honesty, and kindness affect a friendship.

Students act out both positive and negative responses to each friendship scenario, then reflect on how each response could strengthen or harm trust between friends.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Challenges of Friendship Scenario Cards (32 cards): each card describes a realistic friendship conflict or dilemma, with relatable clip art and student-friendly language
  • Recording and reflection sheet for the friendship scenario cards
  • Positive/Negative Response Evaluation Worksheet that guides students to assess the impact of each reaction on a friendship
  • Google Slides version for display and whole-class discussion
